One of the most requested projects we get asked for lately is the modern media wall (also called a TV feature wall or built-in media unit). Homeowners want somewhere beautiful to house their TV, soundbar, games consoles, Sky box and all those cables… without it looking like an electronics shop exploded in their living room!
We recently completed this custom media wall for a client in the Cheshire area, and it turned out exactly how we hoped – clean, timeless and perfectly tailored to the room.

Flat-pack furniture might be quick and cheap, but it rarely fits your space properly. You end up with awkward gaps, visible cables, or a unit that overpowers (or gets lost in) the room.
A bespoke media wall gives you:
For this home we designed a custom-built media unit in a soft neutral (Farrow & Ball “Shaded White” if you’re curious). The lower section has doors that hide the AV equipment and everyday clutter, while the open shelving above keeps the room feeling light and airy.
We added traditional panelling detail across the entire wall to give it that classic meets contemporary look everyone is loving right now. The floating shelves are extra-deep (400 mm) so they can hold books, plants and décor – not just a couple of tiny ornaments!
✔️ 100 % made-to-measure
✔️ Hand-painted in premium eggshell for a flawless, durable finish
✔️ Solid timber carcassing with MDF panelling (the perfect combo of strength and smooth paint finish)
✔️ Integrated cable ports and ventilation so equipment stays cool and tidy
✔️ Traditional shaker-style doors blended with sleek modern lines
Whether you want something minimalist and Scandi-inspired, full-on traditional panelling with a fireplace, or a bold coloured statement wall – we’ve got you covered.
